Elmar Weiler

Elmar Weiler is a Professor in the Department of Plant Physiology at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. He has served as Rector of the university since 2006 and previously held the Vice Rector role for Planning, Structure, and Finance (2003-2006). His academic career spans leadership positions including Dean of the Faculty of Biology (1993-1995) and Director of the Central Isotope Laboratory (1991-1998).
