Dr. Elliott Keech is an Associate Lecturer at York Law School, University of York, since 2021. He joined the institution in 2018 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during his ESRC-funded PhD research on 'Crime, Innovation and the Technology of Money'. His roles include Associate Programme Leader for the UG LLB in Law and Criminology, Widening Participation Coordinator, VLE Coordinator, and GTA Coordinator. He holds degrees from York: LLB, LLM in International Corporate and Commercial Law, MA in Social Research, and a PhD.

Research focuses on cryptocurrencies' legal challenges, financial crime, and historical comparative analyses of monetary innovation and regulation. Methodologies include archival, qualitative, doctrinal, and socio-legal approaches. He teaches modules such as Foundations in Law, Counter Terrorism and the Media Case Study, and Principles of Financial Regulation.
External memberships include Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and participation in the British Crime Historians Symposium.
