Elliott Currie is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Management at the University of Guelph, affiliated with the College of Management & Economics. He has been teaching since 1998, focusing on accounting, financial management, business policy, organizational behavior, and operations. His research emphasizes small business management, interdisciplinary product development in the agri-food sector, and sustainable agriculture initiatives in Ontario and Haiti.
Education: MBA and B.A. from McMaster University, with professional certifications as a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.
Research Interests: Includes agri-food chain innovation, management challenges in Ontario's hazelnut and hops industries, dairy production complexity, and sustainable agricultural practices in Haiti. He has authored/co-authored textbooks on business, finance, and organizational behavior.
Awards: Recipient of the University of Guelph Faculty Association Distinguished Professor Award (2008) and Presidential Distinguished Professor Award (2006-2008), along with recognition for textbook contributions.
Teaching: Currently instructs Management Accounting (ACCT 3350) and Financial Management (BUS 6200). His pedagogical work explores technology integration in procedural learning.
