Ellie Woodacre

Dr. Ellie Woodacre is a Reader in Renaissance History at the University of Winchester, specializing in queenship and royal studies. She joined the History Department in 2012 and has held roles such as Faculty Coordinator for Postgraduate Research Degrees. Her research focuses on female rule, royal agency, and comparative monarchy, with notable projects including an international study on royal women's economic resources. She leads the Royal Studies Network and edits the Royal Studies Journal.
