Ellie Berger

Ellie Berger is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Nipissing University with adjunct appointments at McMaster University and Laurentian University. Her research examines the aging workforce, workplace ageism, retirement transitions, and work-family balance dynamics.

Research examines:

• Age discrimination mechanisms
• Workplace identity negotiation
• Gender and aging intersections
• Retirement planning processes

She has advised policy organizations including the Ontario Human Rights Commission and National Seniors Council. Her book 'Ageism at Work' was published by University of Toronto Press.
