Ellen Szarleta is a researcher affiliated with Indiana University Northwest, focusing on community engagement, higher education, and economic development. She leads initiatives through the Center for Urban and Regional Excellence (CURE), coordinating programs like the Community Engagement Student Fellowships, Adult Education, and the IU Northwest Community Garden.
