Ellen Breazel is a Principal Lecturer and Assistant Director of Data Science Online Education and Outreach in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Clemson University. She holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Georgia (2008), an MS in Statistics from the University of Georgia (2003), and a BS in Computer Engineering from Clemson University (2000).
Her research interests focus on Statistics and Data Science Education, Statistical Computing, and Statistical Genetics. She serves as the higher education chair for the College Board AP Statistics Test Development Committee and is actively involved in outreach initiatives such as the Clemson AP Statistics Teacher Community and Practice Exam program.
Dr. Breazel co-founded Clemson’s online Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics program and is a member of the American Statistical Association and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
