Ellen E. Carr is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Literacy at Delaware State University. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics with minors in Comprehensive Science Education and Accounting from Ashland University, and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Delaware State University. Her research interests include CLEP College Algebra Web-Based Standard Setting, promoting engagement in science education through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Faculty Summer Institute, and AP Statistics exam evaluation. She has taught at both Delaware State University (2015–present) and Changchun University of Science and Technology in China.
Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Introduction to Algebra (as course coordinator), Finite Math, Survey of Mathematics I, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, College Geometry, and Mathematics for Teachers 3. She actively participates in educational initiatives like the College Board AP Reading and the Promoting Engagement and Access in Science programs.
