Ella Hatton is a Lecturer in Psychology at Arden University and a part-time Doctoral Researcher in Work Psychology at the Institute of Work Psychology, Sheffield University Management School. She holds an MSc in Psychological Wellbeing and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is working towards Fellowship. Her career spans clinical mental health, research roles, and prior experience as an Assistant Lecturer in Business and Occupational Psychology.
Her research focuses on workplace wellbeing interventions at individual, group, leader, and organisational levels, with emphasis on context-specific participatory approaches, demands/resources affecting key workers, and positive psychology applications. She employs both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

Her PhD at the University of Sheffield, supervised by Professor Carolyn Axtell and Dr. Cristian Vasquez, investigates participatory interventions for mental health nursing staff engagement.
