Elizabeth Walters

Elizabeth Walters is a Lecturer in Public Health at the Department of Allied and Public Health, School of Health Sport and Bioscience, University of East London. She is affiliated with UEL's Institute of Connected Communities as an affiliate researcher.

• MSc in Global Public Health and Policy
• BSc in Sociology with Social Anthropology

Her research focuses on health inequalities, community development, co-production, and implementation science. She explores how local systems can address health disparities and investigates preventive strategies for mental health through early life interventions.

Recent publications highlight her work on community-driven health initiatives and longitudinal studies of mental health risk factors. Themes include public health policy, intervention implementation, and social determinants of health.

Elizabeth contributes to the BSc and MSc Public Health programs at UEL, serving as module lead for Contemporary Public Health Challenges (HS5001) and Co-producing Community Health (HS5005).
