Elizabeth V. Schulz

Elizabeth V. Schulz, MD, MHPE, is a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics within the School of Medicine at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. A Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force, she has held clinical and leadership roles across military medical institutions, including Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Naval Hospital Okinawa.

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Microbiology (Cum Laude) from University of Georgia (2006), Medical College of Georgia (2011), and Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) from Uniformed Services University (2024).

Her research focuses on neonatal complications of vascular pregnancy disorders, technology in clinical trials, and gender equity in military medicine. She has contributed to advancing neonatal transport systems and evidence-based practices in military healthcare settings.

Dr. Schulz served as Program Director for the DoD’s tri-service Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship program (2020–2024) and led neonatal transport initiatives in the Western Pacific region during her tenure at Kadena Air Base.
