Elizabeth Powell

Elizabeth K. Powell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine with a secondary appointment in Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She practices at the University of Maryland Medical Center and R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, specializing in critical care and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

Her research interests include ECMO management in critical care settings, transport medicine for critically ill patients, and developing ECMO capabilities for austere environments. Powell also serves in the United States Air Force Reserve, contributing to special operations medical capabilities.
