Elizabeth Meyersohn is a Lecturer in Art at Smith College, where she has taught drawing and painting since 2003. She holds an M.F.A. from Yale University School of Art and a B.A. in Studio Art from Smith College. Her work focuses on landscape painting, particularly exploring themes of light, time of day, and the moon as a central subject. Meyersohn has exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Art Biennale (2017), Palazzo Mora, and the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

- Participated in residencies in Changzhou, China (2013); Jeonbuk, South Korea (2012); and Provincetown, MA (2015)
- Her work is featured in the permanent collections of the Changzhou Museum, China, and Sori Museum, South Korea
Research Interests center on the intersection of personal experience with landscape painting, particularly through her ongoing series of moon-themed works. These paintings, developed during the pandemic and her cancer journey, explore universality and changeability in nature. Her practice combines traditional oil and acrylic techniques with experimental approaches to abstraction and framing.
Selected Awards include grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, Massachusetts Cultural Council, and Mellon Foundation. She has also received the Connecticut Pastel Society award and the Purchase Prize from the Bank of Western Massachusetts.
Teaching Experience spans institutions such as Smith College, Assumption College (as Assistant Professor), Holyoke Community College (Adjunct Lecturer), Rhode Island School of Design, and Lesley University. She has also served as a guest speaker at Mount Holyoke College and Marlboro College.
