Elizabeth Martin

Professor Elizabeth Martin is affiliated with the Sydney Dental School at the University of Sydney, where she holds the Chair for Tooth Conservation and coordinates clinical activities for DMD3 and DMD4 students at three metropolitan sites. She has extensive expertise in clinical restorative dentistry and microbiology of dental caries.

Her research focuses include dental caries microbiology, restorative dental materials, and oral health equity for vulnerable populations. Recent work analyzes antibiotic resistance in oral microbiota and fluoride dynamics in dental composites. A 2019 AO recipient, she has over 38 publications and two book chapters, with grants from the NHMRC and Australian Dental Association.
