Victor Haruo Matsubara

Dr. Victor Haruo Matsubara is an Associate Professor at the Dental School of The University of Western Australia (UWA), specializing in Restorative Dentistry. He holds a PhD and Master's from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, with expertise in microbiology, biofilms, and probiotic therapies for oral pathogens. His research focuses on developing alternative treatments for oral infections, including antimicrobial hydrogels and probiotic applications. Full-time faculty member since 2016, he contributes to UWA's academic and clinical missions.
