Elizabeth Leane is a Professor of Antarctic Studies at the University of Tasmania's School of Humanities. She holds dual expertise in science and humanities, with a BSc in Physics (University of Adelaide), a BA(Hons) in English, and a DPhil from the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. Her research focuses on human engagement with Antarctica through cultural texts and lived experiences. She co-leads the Public Engagement with Antarctic Research Action Group under SCAR and serves as Arts and Literature Editor of The Polar Journal.
