Elizabeth Langran

Dr. Elizabeth Langran is a Professor in the Department of Education Studies at Marymount University, specializing in educational technology and teacher education. With teaching experience in the U.S., Morocco (as a Peace Corps volunteer), and Switzerland, she brings a global perspective to her work.

• Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia
• President of the Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education (SITE)
• Co-authored Navigating Place-Based Learning: Mapping for a Better World (2020)

Her research focuses on digital equity, geospatial technology integration, and global citizenship education. She has collaborated on international projects in Nicaragua, India, Senegal, China, and other countries, emphasizing technology’s role in inclusive learning environments.
