Elizabeth Hartmann is a Professor of Education at Lasell University within the School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences. She specializes in supporting learners with complex special needs through the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework and teacher education.

Her research focuses on pedagogical strategies that leverage learner variability and cultural diversity in K-12 public schools. She has published extensively on topics including teacher self-efficacy in deafblindness education and socio-cognitive approaches to symbolic understanding in children with disabilities.
