Margaret Flood is an Assistant Professor in Inclusive Education at Maynooth University (MU), serving as Academic Advisor for the Maynooth Access Programme (MAP) and Programme Lead for the BScEd Programme (Years 1 and 2). She specializes in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), curriculum design, and inclusive education policy. Previously, she held roles at the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA), Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT), and Trinity College Dublin (Adjunct Teaching Fellow).

- Bachelor of Arts (History, Sociology, English) (Maynooth University)
Research Interests: Focuses on UDL implementation, barriers to learning for students with chronic health conditions, teacher professional development for inclusion, and curriculum design for diverse learners. Current projects include studies on cancer treatment impacts on education and UDL in Irish and international contexts.

Grants & Collaborations: Leads projects funded by Childhood Cancer Ireland, Eochalir, and the Centre for Teaching and Learning. Collaborates with institutions like Kennedy Krieger Institute (USA), Ulster University, and the Trinity College Dublin-led Erasmus+ SUSKIDS initiative.
Teaching & Leadership: Teaches modules on inclusive education, UDL, and equity. Hosts the #UDLchatIE podcast and co-created the podcast Talking about all things Inclusion. Active in committees such as the CAST UDL Stakeholder Council and the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) Consultative Forum.
