Elizabeth Friedman is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in Marketing from Yale University. Prior to academia, she worked as a management consultant at Monitor Deloitte and New England Consulting Group.
Her research examines consumer decision-making processes, including psychological barriers to consumption, goal-oriented choice behavior, and contextual influences on purchasing decisions. She teaches courses in Behavioral Economics & Decision Making at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
