Elizabeth Fox is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, specializing in Trauma/Critical Care at the Medical College of Georgia. She holds an MD from the University of Virginia (2009) and a BA in Romance Languages from Boston College (2005). Her clinical expertise includes surgical critical care and trauma, complemented by certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, ATLS, and Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery.
Research & Education
Dr. Fox’s research focuses on trauma care, public health, and geriatric trauma outcomes. Her recent studies include opioid use patterns in elderly trauma patients, domestic violence survivor care protocols, and the impact of hands-free laws on road accidents. She teaches courses such as the Acute Care Surgery Externship and Surgery Critical Care/Trauma clerkships.
