Elizabeth Farber Bernhardt is a Lecturer in Law and Adjunct Faculty at Columbia Law School, where she teaches Legal Practice Workshop courses. She is also Counsel at Cohen & Gresser in the litigation department. Previously, she served as a supervisor in the Appeals Bureau of the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office (1993–2004), arguing cases before the New York State Court of Appeals and the Second Circuit. From 1988 to 1992, she was a litigation associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. She holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School (1988), where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and executive editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems.
