Dr. Elizabeth DeLamater is a Lecturer at the Sharon J. Resch Institute of Music at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay, specializing in percussion, world music, and electronic music production. She is also principal timpanist of the Weidner Philharmonic.

Her research and performance focus spans classical, contemporary, and popular music genres, with deep expertise in steelpan traditions from Trinidad & Tobago and African percussion techniques including Sabar, Jembe, Kutiro, Dagara Gyil, and Ewe/Dagomba drumming systems. She has performed at international festivals like the Trinidad World Steelband Festival and Panorama competition, and actively teaches cross-cultural music practices.
Dr. DeLamater chairs the Percussive Arts Society Diversity Alliance and hosts the Art Lives podcast since 2018. Her academic contributions include publications in The Instrumentalist, Percussive Notes, and Rhythm!Scene. She endorses leading percussion brands including Black Swamp Percussion and Zildjian.
