Elizabeth Cutter

Dr. Elizabeth Cutter-Lin is an instructor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, specializing in elementary mathematics education. With classroom experience teaching first, fourth, and fifth grades in Chicago, Berkeley, and Milwaukee public schools, she brings practical expertise to teacher preparation programs.

Her research focuses on mathematics education as a civil rights issue, emphasizing pedagogical approaches that foster student engagement and positive mathematical identities. Cutter-Lin teaches mathematics methods courses for elementary education candidates and supervises preservice teachers during field experiences.
