Dr. Elizabeth Curtis is an Associate Professor in Rheumatology at the University of Southampton. Her research focuses on the developmental origins of bone health, particularly the role of vitamin D during pregnancy and its long-term effects on offspring skeletal development. She leads and collaborates on projects such as the MAVIDOS Trial and studies on cognitive loss and fracture risk prediction. Dr. Curtis has been recognized with multiple Young Investigator Awards (2016, 2018) and actively participates in professional speaking roles, including at the Practical Management of Osteoporosis Conference and the BRS Annual Meeting. She is affiliated with the Centre for Developmental Origins of Health and Disease and the Institute of Developmental Sciences.
