Elizabeth Crampsey

Elizabeth Crampsey is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at the Westbrook College of Health Professions, University of New England, and holds the rank of Clinical Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy. She is based at the Portland Campus for the Health Sciences, located in Hersey Hall 209.

Her educational background includes an Ed.D. (Doctor of Education) and M.S. (Master of Science), with clinical certifications as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) and Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Rehabilitation (BCPR). She specializes in pediatric occupational therapy interventions across school, clinic, and hospital settings, with recent clinical experience in acute care involving children and adults in critical care environments.

Key research interests include poly-trauma rehabilitation, neuro-recovery strategies, early mobilization in intensive care units, and the application of interprofessional education (IPE). She actively mentors occupational therapy students pursuing the Interprofessional Honors Distinction through the Center to Advance Interprofessional Education and Practice (CAIEP), a nationally recognized micro-credential.

Dr. Crampsey is a leader in fostering high-functioning interprofessional teams and advancing educational initiatives that bridge clinical practice and collaborative healthcare models.
