Elizabeth Bettendorf Bowman serves as an Instructor in the Theatre Arts and Dance Department at Benedictine College, teaching since 2017 with expertise in theatre management, introductory theatre, and public speaking. She concurrently leads as Executive Artistic Director of Kansas City Public Theatre, honored as Missouri's "Arts Organization of the Year".
- MA in Theatre (Directing and Theatre History) from University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory
- BA in Theatre and Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University
Her research centers on arts accessibility and community engagement, spanning Arts Administration, Theatre for Young Audiences, and Public Speaking. She implements these interests through residencies at United Inner City Services and instruction in the Fort Leavenworth Prison System, emphasizing democratized theatrical access.
