Elizabeth Bauer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology and Neuroscience & Behavior at Barnard College. She joined the faculty in 2008 and specializes in molecular and cellular neuroscience, focusing on the neural mechanisms of emotional memory. Her research employs classical fear conditioning to investigate how fear memories are acquired, stored, and modulated by anxiety. She teaches courses including Molecular & Cellular Neuroscience and its laboratory counterpart.
