Elizabeth Baldwin

Elizabeth Baldwin is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Lawyering Skills at the Seattle University School of Law, focusing on Legal Analysis, Research, & Writing, Immigration Law, and Child Welfare. She previously served as a Senior Attorney at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), addressing child welfare and immigration issues for unaccompanied minors. She holds a BA from University of Oregon Honors College (1995), an MA in Applied Linguistics from Columbia University (2000), and a JD magna cum laude from Seattle University School of Law (2004). Her scholarship explores legal writing instruction for international lawyers and child welfare advocacy. She chairs subcommittees on the Washington State Task Force on Unaccompanied Children and actively contributes to pro bono legal services.
