Elizabeth Anne McKay

Elizabeth Anne McKay is an Assistant Professor at the Solomont School of Nursing within the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. With a PhD in Nursing Science from Boston College and a background in both clinical nursing and education, her research focuses on adolescent sexual health communication and LGBTQ+ inclusive sex education.

• Sources of sexual health information for sexual and gender minority adolescents

Recent research trends show her work centers on measuring and improving sexual minority inclusivity in sex education, with methodological approaches spanning psychometric testing, secondary data analysis of national surveys, and integrated literature reviews. She has received the University Fellowship from Boston College and the Academic Excellence Award from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Her grant funding includes the Doug Kirby Adolescent Sexual Health Research Grant and a Research Fellowship at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
