Elizabeth A. Keenan

Elizabeth A. Keenan is a Clinical Professor of Business Administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She previously served as an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School (2015–2024), where she taught courses in Purpose-Driven Marketing and core Marketing. Her expertise spans consumer behavior, decision-making, environmental sustainability, and philanthropy. She holds a PhD from the Rady School of Management (UC San Diego), an MAS from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (UC San Diego), and a BS from Loyola Marymount University.

Her research explores prosocial behaviors, including charitable giving and environmental sustainability, with publications in prestigious journals like Science, Journal of Consumer Research, and Nature Climate Change. Her work has been featured in media outlets such as NPR, Wall Street Journal, and U.S. News & World Report. Prior to academia, she spent a decade in nonprofit management at the Aquarium of the Pacific. She resides in Vermont with her family.
