Eliza Hawkes is an Associate Professor at Monash University's School of Public Health & Preventive Medicine and Lymphoma Lead at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research & Wellness Centre (Austin Health). She holds adjunct roles at the University of Melbourne and Royal Marsden Hospital (UK). Her research focuses on immune targets in lymphoma, with over 100 publications and leadership in global consortia like the International TCL Consortium and Global Burkitt Lymphoma Network.
Education: MBBS (Hons) from Monash University (1996–2001), DMedSci from University of Melbourne (lymphoma treatment strategies). Professional roles include former president of the Australasian Lymphoma Alliance and chair of the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Trials Group Lymphoma Working Party (2017–2023).
Research priorities include CAR-T cell therapy for Burkitt lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma data modeling (HOLISTIC consortium), and outcomes analysis in aggressive lymphomas. Recent projects (2022–2027) include optimizing novel therapies and immunoglobulin use via funded initiatives like the $5M OPTIMISING NOVEL THERAPIES project (2023–2027).
