Elisabeth Subrin is an Associate Professor at Temple University's School of Theater, Film and Media Arts, specializing in film production, experimental media, and women's film history. She holds affiliations with institutions including Harvard University, Yale University, and the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy as a Fulbright Scholar. Her work bridges narrative film, video installations, and critical writing.

Research focuses on biographical storytelling, feminist film critique, and interdisciplinary art practices. Notable works include the César-winning Maria Schneider, 1983 and the feature film A Woman, A Part. Exhibitions span MoMA, The Whitney Biennial, and international film festivals.
