Deborah Stratman

Deborah Stratman is a Professor at the School of Art and Art History, University of Illinois at Chicago, specializing in art, design, and cinematography. Her practice bridges sculpture, photography, installation, and audio, focusing on themes of power, control, and belief through the lens of place, ideology, and societal structures.

• Education: MFA from California Institute of the Arts (Live Action Film and Video), BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (Filmmaking, Sound, Painting)
