Elin Maria Berg is a PhD Research Fellow at the University of Agder's Department of Foreign Languages and Translation. Her research focuses on written corrective feedback in language education, learner engagement with feedback, and the role of emotions in second language acquisition. She is affiliated with the MUSE (Multilingualism in Society and Education) research group and the International Association for the Psychology of Language Learning (IAPLL).
Her academic interests span formative assessment strategies, feedback practices in writing instruction, and classroom-based research methodologies. She has contributed to the development of the TRAWL Corpus, a longitudinal study tracking young learner language development across multiple languages.
Berg teaches courses such as EN-438/442 Didactics of English Part Two and EN-447 English Language and Learning Research. Her work emphasizes practical applications of research in secondary-level EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classrooms.
Her recent publications analyze teacher practices related to corrective feedback and corpus-based research on multilingual learners. She actively participates in academic networks focused on language education and multilingualism.
