Elin Ekbladh is an Associate Professor at Linköping University, affiliated with the Department of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. She holds roles such as Deputy Member of the Faculty Board, Convener of the Curriculum Group for the Occupational Therapy program, and Programme Committee member. Her work integrates research, education, and practical rehabilitation initiatives.
Academic Qualifications: Registered Occupational Therapist (1997), Master of Science (1999), Doctor of Medical Science (2008).
Her research focuses on vocational rehabilitation, emphasizing assessment of work ability through instruments like the Worker Role Interview (WRI) and Work Environment Impact Scale (WEIS). Key areas include psychosocial factors influencing work potential, technology-assisted interventions for students with disabilities, and person-centered approaches in post-stroke rehabilitation. She collaborates with networks like the International Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) scholars and the National Psychometric Network in Health Sciences.
Advising and Grants: Assistant supervisor for doctoral student Moa Yngve in a study on school attendance and transition to work. Involved in projects funded by Swedish authorities and private actors, exploring interventions for students needing special support in upper secondary school.
