She previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Yale University and earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Research Interests: Dr. Ikizer explores two primary research areas: (1) the causes and consequences of stigma across cultures, and (2) how social scientific work influences societal perceptions of stigmatized individuals. Her studies often employ cross-cultural frameworks to address identity, discrimination, and communication.
