Elif Gündoğdu

Assoc. Prof. Elif Gündoğdu is an Associate Professor at Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine Sciences, Radiology Division. She has been serving in this position since 2020, previously holding the rank of Assistant Professor from 2017-2020 at the same institution. Her clinical expertise spans abdominal imaging, genitourinary radiology, and transplant imaging, with particular focus on CT and MRI applications in diagnosing complex conditions.

Dr. Gündoğdu completed her undergraduate medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 2001-2007. She then pursued specialized training in radiology through expert-level medical education at Ankara Training and Research Hospital from 2007-2011. Her professional journey includes clinical radiology positions at the Ministry of Health from 2012-2017, where she served as a Radiology Specialist Doctor.

Her research interests encompass Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Medical Imaging, Transplantation, and Internal Medicine Sciences, with numerous publications focusing on abdominal imaging, genitourinary system radiology, and advanced CT/MRI techniques. She has made significant contributions to the understanding of adrenal imaging, renal pathologies, pancreatic disorders, and infectious processes visible through radiological methods. Her work often bridges clinical medicine with advanced imaging techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.

Dr. Gündoğdu has supervised multiple theses across various medical imaging topics, including renal cell carcinoma differentiation, abdominal fat tissue analysis, and multiparametric MRI applications in urological cancers. Her scholarly activity includes serving as a peer reviewer for numerous prestigious journals including Academic Radiology, British Journal of Radiology, and Turkish Journal of Medical Sciences since 2020.

She actively participates in national radiology congresses as both a session moderator and invited speaker, particularly at the Turkish Radiology Congress (TÜRKRAD). Her academic leadership extends to teaching undergraduate courses such as Urogenital System Radiological Algorithm and Medical Imaging I at the associate degree level. Dr. Gündoğdu has also contributed book chapters on adrenal gland pathologies, contrast agent usage in geriatrics, and urinary system radiology, demonstrating her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and education in her field.
