Alyssa Kirsch, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She completed her medical degree at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, followed by diagnostic radiology residency at Corewell Health University Hospital and an abdominal imaging fellowship at UCSF. Her clinical focus includes CT/ultrasound imaging, specialized MRI cases (prostate/rectal/gynecologic imaging), and complex post-transplant/post-operative imaging. Dr. Kirsch has contributed to research on fetal ultrasound, nitrous oxide abuse effects, and acute viral encephalitis, presenting work at national conferences.
Her research interests span trauma-based radiology, rare pathology imaging, and improving diagnostic approaches. She has authored peer-reviewed articles and received neuroradiology Case of the Year awards during residency. Dr. Kirsch is actively involved in medical education, delivering lectures on abdominal, breast, and genitourinary imaging, and mentoring trainees. She holds an academic appointment in the UCSF School of Medicine and contributes to clinical divisions in abdominal imaging and ultrasound at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
