Eliana M. Perrin

Eliana M. Perrin is the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Primary Care at Johns Hopkins University, with appointments in the Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, and the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is a board-certified primary care pediatrician currently practicing at the Johns Hopkins Harriet Lane Clinic and a leading researcher in preventive child health.

Her research focuses on patient-oriented preventive care, health services research, health disparities, and chronic illness prevention, particularly in early childhood. She has pioneered work in obesity prevention through longitudinal studies like the Greenlight trial and explores the cultural and societal determinants of health, including her co-founding role in the 'Health and Democracy' initiative through SNF-Agora.

Dr. Perrin has led major federally funded research projects, including NIH R01 and PCORI grants, focusing on multi-site randomized controlled trials in pediatric populations. Her work integrates m-health components and interdisciplinary team science to address complex public health challenges.
