Elham Hoominfar is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Global Health Studies Program at Northwestern University and Co-Director of the Colloquium for Global Iran Studies. She holds a PhD in Sociology from Utah State University (2020), with prior degrees from Tehran University and Bowling Green State University. Her research focuses on environmental sociology, environmental justice, hazards/disasters, gender inequality, and social movements, emphasizing political economy analysis in the Global South and North.
