Elena Makarion

Elena Makarion is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of English at Wake Forest University. Her research spans writing studies, medical rhetoric, disability studies, and Gothic literature.

She holds a PhD from UNC Greensboro, an MA from Harvard, and teaches courses integrating rhetoric, creative writing, and gender theory.

Her 2021 publication explores pedagogical approaches to writing and meaning-making.
