Eleanor Neff Powell is an Associate Professor of Political Science and holds the Letters & Science Nancy Obin Sukenik Professorship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her A.B. from Princeton University, M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University, and previously served as an Assistant Professor at Yale University.

Powell specializes in American politics, focusing on congressional behavior, political parties, and the influence of money in politics. Her research explores legislative capacity, policy priorities, and institutional dynamics, with notable work on how campaign finance shapes representation and oversight. Powell co-founded the Women in Legislative Studies initiative to address gender disparities in the field.
