Eleanor Bowes is a Researcher at the University of Leeds, affiliated with the School of Medicine and the Academic Unit of Primary Care. Her work focuses on behavior change interventions to support diabetes management and long-term health conditions.

Research interests include:

- Process evaluations using mixed-methods approaches
- Diabetes prevention programmes and nutrition interventions for Type 2 Diabetes
Current and recent projects:
- Qualitative researcher and primary process evaluation investigator for the SPACES trial (Supporting Physical Activity through Co-design in adults with Severe Mental Illness)
- Research assistant on the POSE-D study (Diabetes-UK funded adaptation of an online intervention for binge eating in adults with Type 2 diabetes)
Prior experience includes clinical work delivering the National Diabetes Prevention Programme to NHS patients, with specialized training in diabetes management, Intuitive Eating, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioural therapy.
