Elaine Gold is a retired Lecturer at the University of Toronto and serves as Researcher-in-Residence, focusing on language heritage preservation. She directs the Canadian Language Museum (CLM), dedicated to promoting Canada's linguistic diversity, particularly Indigenous languages. Her roles include teaching linguistics at the University of Toronto for over two decades and curating exhibits such as 'Speaking the Inuit Way.'
Dr. Gold holds a PhD in Linguistics and an MA in Art History, combining academic expertise with arts administration. Her research interests span morphology, sociolinguistics, Yiddish studies, and Canadian English. She actively engages in reconciliation efforts through CLM's work on Indigenous languages.
