Elaina Wahl-Temple

Elaina Wahl-Temple serves as a Resident Artist and faculty member in Flagler College's Theatre Department within the School of Creative Arts and Letters. Her responsibilities include teaching courses in dance, costume construction, and stage makeup while serving as the college's resident designer for theatrical productions.

Educated at Butler University where she earned a summa cum laude BA in Performing Arts with a minor in costume design, Wahl-Temple has extensive professional training including vocal coaching with Broadway veterans and certifications from the Baltimore Actors' Theatre Conservatory. Her artistic foundation spans regional theatre work, national tours, and television appearances on shows like Saturday Night Live.

Her research and practice centers on costume design for theatre, informed by apprenticeships with award-winning designers and work at venues including Chicago's Goodman Theatre. This focus has driven acclaimed productions at Flagler College that earned multiple Kennedy Center awards.

Notable honors include:

As an educator, she teaches Dance Workshop, Costume History, and Stage Makeup while mentoring students through practical production experience. Her community engagement includes fundraising leadership for the Susan B. Komen Foundation and Artbreakers cancer support organization. Wahl-Temple maintains active industry connections through professional networks like the Enterprising Women Leadership Institute.
