Misti Bradford

Misti Bradford is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She holds an MFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2003). Her expertise spans costume design, makeup, and theatrical crafts, with a focus on historical and technical aspects of costume creation. She actively mentors students in stage management and oversees admissions and production management within the department.

Bradford's research and creative work involve professional costume and wig design for theatre productions. Her awards include multiple KCACTF Certificates of Merit for outstanding costume design in university productions like Hamlet, Twelfth Night, and MacBeth.

Her service roles include chairing the Committee on Research and Creative Activity (2015), serving in the Faculty Senate, and coordinating programs for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and United States Institute for Theatre Technology. She teaches courses ranging from foundational design principles to advanced costume crafts and stage management.
