Elżbieta Rosińska

Elżbieta Rosińska is a full professor at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, specializing in accordion performance and musicology. She previously served as Dean of the Instrumental Faculty from 2012 to 2019. Her career includes extensive solo and chamber music performances across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. She has premiered over a dozen works by contemporary composers and authored influential publications such as Polish Accordion Literature 1955-1996 and the online Catalog of Polish Accordion Music. Her pedagogical contributions include organizing the Kashubian Accordion Workshops, a key annual event for young musicians.

Education: She graduated from the same academy, studying accordion under Józef Madanowski. Her expertise spans performance, composition, and music history, with a focus on Polish musical heritage.

Research interests include the evolution of accordion repertoire, pedagogical methods for instrument instruction, and chamber music collaborations. Her work bridges traditional and contemporary practices, emphasizing the accordion's role in modern art music.

Advising and competitions: Her students and doctoral candidates have achieved notable success in international competitions like the Klingenthal Accordion Competition (Germany), Vilnius International Accordion Competition (Lithuania), and the Citta di Filadelfia Competition (Italy). She has also served as a jury member for events in Kościerzyna, Mława, and abroad, including Slovakia and Croatia.

Labs/teams: She maintains the Catalog of Polish Accordion Music as a digital resource and oversees the annual Wejherowo summer courses, fostering young accordionists' development.
