Ekaterina Turkina is a Professor at HEC Montréal's Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She holds the Chair in Global Innovation Networks and is a member of the Groupe de Recherche en Affaires internationales (GRAI). Her expertise focuses on innovation ecosystems, industrial clusters, and innovation policy. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, with additional qualifications in European Studies.
Her research emphasizes innovation networks, sustainability in aerospace clusters, and the dynamics of knowledge-intensive business services. Recent work includes studies on Montreal's AI ecosystem, cross-border innovation, and the impact of institutional interactions on cluster resilience. She has received the Prix de recherche Chenelière Éducation/Gaëtan Morin 2019 for her contributions to scientific publications.
Dr. Turkina has supervised numerous PhD and Master's students, focusing on topics like AI commercialization, SME strategic renewal, and regional competitiveness. She is actively involved in teaching 'Management de l'innovation' and contributes to over 60 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Her work bridges academic research with practical insights into global value chains, policy frameworks, and innovation-driven economic growth.
