Eimear E Kenny

Dr. Eimear Kenny is Professor of Medicine and Genetics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Founding Director of the Institute for Genomic Health. Her research integrates genomics, medicine, and computer science to advance human health through data science and massive-scale genomic databases.

Her academic credentials include:

Dr. Kenny's work spans population and statistical genetics; machine-learning approaches for genomic discovery in rare and common diseases; genomic risk prediction for preventive health; clinical trials in genomic medicine; and digital app development for precision medicine. She aims to establish a new paradigm for health system-embedded genomic research enabling global genomic medicine implementation.

As scientific advisor to government, non-profit, and industry initiatives, she drives translational impact. Her leadership of the Institute for Genomic Health fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration to transform genomic discoveries into clinical practice through Disease Mechanisms and Therapeutics and Neuroscience training frameworks.
